Can't talk now...more work to be done....

What a crazy week. I think I am going to call this semester my 'PI in training' period. I have gotten my head around my schedule such that I am getting a lot of work done, but I have to say, its still wacky. Between my labwork, writing, teaching, and teaching in the lab...this has to be like being a young PI. And all of it has come together to make me sick as a dog this weekend. I'm worried it might be progressing from the common cold, to bronchitis. We'll see.

And to just add to the chaos, we are in full election year swing here. This means all politics all the time on all media outlets. Which is ok, except I am pretty burnt out on politics. I know who I will vote for and could do without the daily grandstanding by both parties. In other news, my Florida voter registration finally went through. I had to change my name and they make you send in a whole new registration form for that. The first one I sent back in August was mysteriously 'lost'. I say mysteriously because I sent it simultaneously with two other pieces of mail, my rent check, and some documents for Alaska Airlines, and those all got through just fine....
So I sent an email to the Supervisor of Elections Office asking after it, and when I sent the second form, it has been acknowledged.
All of this is to say, this....

Is the only thing keeping me sane during the debates.

And this....

is how much yarn one can spin during a Presidential Debate. About half the bobbin is full.
