A do over

So I have been knitting a pair of socks for Russell. They had been motoring along at a pretty good clip (for me...a pair of socks can take me months). Last night I finally had to accept that the reality of the human foot size and the size of these socks had about as much in common as charcoal and brie. They would have to be ripped back. All the way to the beginning. This could have been a big source of frustration, but it isn't, and this is one of the things I love about knitting. Ripping out knitting for some reason is really cathartic. I think its because it completly erases errors, but in a way that lets you have a do over.

Though it will substantially delay the delivery of the socks....
