Discovery Channell's Iffy Decision Making

So, Frozen Planet, the new David Attenborough nature fest, is currently airing in the U.K. Here's a clip. I will be watching the BBC version. I always do, but it will be airing in March(ish) on the Discovery Channel in the U.S. It was brought to my attention yesterday that the 7th episode on climate change, would not be airing in the U.S. Now there are a couple reasons here, there has been much speculation that the subject is "too political" for U.S. audiences, but I think there is more going on. Namely this. The final episode will actually have Sir David on camera and speaking. This will mess with Discovery Networks plan to do their usual celebrity voice over. Here's what I would like to say to Discovery Networks.

Please, quit dumbing stuff down for your American audience. We can handle the science, really. What did you not learn from the universally bad reviews of Life (featuring the voice of Oprah rather than Sir David) vs the critically acclaimed Blue Planet, which featured Sir David himself. Just air all the episodes as they appear in the U.K. PLEASE!
